Welcome to our Prayer Shawl Ministry. Whether you are an experienced crafter or a beginner, you are welcome to join us on Wednesday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00 noon in the Parish Hall, classroom 5.
Our ministry is a warm and nurturing community where we create beautiful shawls and comforting ‘burden bears’ while enjoying fellowship and prayer. Our ministry embodies love, compassion, and a mission to provide solace to those in need. As we knit and crochet shawls, we pray the rosary. Each shawl is a tangible expression of God’s love, intended to wrap those who receive them in warmth and comfort during difficult times.
In addition to shawls, we create “Burden Bears” for Trillium Woods Hospice Care. These cuddly bears serve as a source of comfort to the patient and their families.
The ministry is always in need of donations to keep our crafters thriving. If you have full skeins of worsted weight or bulky yarn, fleece material, or poly fiber fill, your contributions would be greatly appreciated. Any questions? Give us a call.
