St. Sebastian’s Homebound team members are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who bring the comfort of Christ in Communion to our parishioners who are unable to attend Mass. We also bring Communion to residents in nursing care facilities within the Byron Center community. Our visits are the living bridge between our parish church and those members unable to join us in person due to health or old age. This provides a vital connection to our parish community!
We bring Communion every Friday morning after Mass. By participating in this ministry our ministers have found themselves to be an extension of the Lord’s hands and voice which brings them deep joy and peace. If you would like to participate in this ministry we are currently looking for substitutes to fill in as needed. Please reach out to Joan with any questions.
If you are a homebound parishioner desiring to have the Eucharist brought to you at home, please reach out to the parish office at 616-878-1619 or parishoffice@stsebastianmi.org
