Water is vital to life!
For this reason the church uses water to symbolize the importance of baptism for our spiritual life.

Children are a gift from GOD! St. Sebastian parish is committed to helping parents as the primary educators of their children, to fulfill their commitment to God to raise their children in the faith. We offer preparation for parents presenting their child for baptism. Both parents need to attend unless extraordinary situations prevent them. Godparents are welcome to attend as well. The Parent Preparation Class is normally held on Monday evening and upcoming dates can be found on the calendar below.
Baptisms are scheduled for Saturday afternoon, one weekend each month. Upcoming dates may be found on the Baptism Calendar below. To begin the process please complete the Baptism Inquiry Form below.
A note about choosing Godparents: Godparents are the living souls you choose to hold up as models of faithful Catholic living for your child. Godparents should be one man and one woman, fully-initiated, practicing Catholics, and at least 16 years of age. It is possible for you to invite a Christian friend to stand in. They should be baptized and living their faith. They are termed a Christian Witness. One of the Godparents must be Catholic.
