Why Participate in the Children’s Choir?

Learn Vocal Technique and Music:
The St. Sebastian Children’s Choir will learn music reading and vocal productions concepts and basic harmony/part singing.

Perform Sacred Music:
The St. Sebastian Children’s Choir will learn a repertoire of traditional Catholic hymns and other sacred music.

Develop faith and community:

Members of the St. Sebastian Children’s Choir will deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith through music. This promotes a sense of parish community with other young singers and instrumentalists.

Fun and fellowship:

The choir will have games and snacks at our longer rehearsals.

Who Can Participate in the Children’s Choir?

The St. Sebastian Children’s Choir is open to all children grades 3-8. There is no audition. Any child who loves to sing is encouraged to join.

When does the Children’s Choir rehearse and perform?

The St. Sebastian Children’s Choir leads music at the 4:30 Family Mass on Christmas Eve. There is a 20 minute concert before the Mass and a final rehearsal at 2:45.

Regular rehearsals are Sunday Afternoons after Mass leading up to Christmas Eve.
