Do you have a love of Scripture? Do you enjoy helping people to know truth? Do you have a knack for public speaking (or even want to give it a try)? Become a lector! Our wonderful team of lectors proclaim God’s Word to the community during the Mass with power, love, and reverence, drawing all of us into the nourishing and life-giving message of Salvation. Lectors are trained and formed in the specific movements of their role during Mass as well as in the important role of Scripture in the life of the Church community. Diocesan policy requires that lectors be fully initiated Catholics (received Baptism, Communion and Confirmation) at least 16 years of age.
