The Diocese of Grand Rapids’ Office of Faith Formation is partnering with St. John Paul II Parish to offer sensory-friendly Masses.
The Masses are modified to allow families with members who have special needs can participate more fully.
Accommodations include dimmed lighting, softer music, and no incense.
Families are encouraged to bring materials that can assist with comfort during the liturgy: noise-cancelling headphones, fidgets, wiggle seats, etc.
